Les COMBARIOLLES is the name given to a small place between Montpeyroux and Jonquières. The soil is made up of small pebbles, mingled with sand with a strong filtering power, and limestone underneath. This is an ideal terroir for a superb Grenache, which we started planting on 0,71ha in 2002 and finished planting on 0,60ha this year.
The first ‘Combariolles’ wine, partly produced from this plot, was blended with Grenache from Bosc-Vieil and a little Syrah. Raised 2/3 in casks and 1/3 in vat, the cuvée is all fruit and spices, with elegant tannins. This wine is both ‘gourmand’ and serious.
Only 840 bottles of the vintage 2005 are available.

The name ‘
la Jasse ’ means ‘sheepfold’ in Occitan.
This cuvée is elaborated from Syrah, is planted on a lower slope, on a terroir with a very chalky base called "mas du goulou". Ripening takes place at an early; the small dark grapes bring in compact tannins and a range of deep, complex aromas, while keeping a surprising freshness: small red berries, cocoa, truffle, camphor, bay leaf, liquorice and violet.
Harvesting done by hand, average yield of 20hl/ha, full destemming, punching of the cap, 4-week maceration.
15 to 18-month raising: 50% in casks and 50% in vats.
Will keep for 5 to 7 years
2003: 90% syrah, 10% grenache
2004 : 80% syrah, 20% grenache
2005 : 80% syrah et 20% grenache
Our vineyards are tilled. If necessary, we give them grape pomace, crushed vine-branches, ewe manure. The soil is mechanically weeded, with a pickaxe. In order to limit the treatments, we aerate and balance the weight on the vine-stocks: de-budding, trellising, thinning out of leaves. Harvesting is done by hand in small crates, sorting out the grapes in the vineyard. We use as little sulphur as possible and keep the balance of the year’s vintage thanks to a regular work in the vineyard.

Le MONTPEYROUX, CALL "LA PIMPANELA" since 2008 millésime, is a blend of Grenache and Syrah from the Causse de Montpeyroux, 100-year-old Cinsault grown below the small village of Arboras, and Carignan .
The grapes are picked when they are just ripe, and not overripe, to retain the freshness indispensable to Montpeyroux wines.
Lovely dark purple hue. Somewhat wild, the nose develops notes of tobacco, cherry, bilberry, almond, bourbon vanilla. The entry is supple with texture. The palate evolves towards body, quite rich, with fresh, slightly granular tannins. The finish is frank, on scrubland aromas and a pleasant rusticity.
La Pimpanela can be drunk slightly chilled in summer.
Available in 150cl, 75cl and 50cl bottles. (Jéroboam , 3L, on demand) |

The TUTTI FRUTTI Rosé is an authentic wine, all fruit, all pleasure.
TUTTI FRUTTI is the perfect idea of what a pleasurable rosé should be. Round, aromatic, lively, with a good colour, to be drunk at the aperitif or throughout the meal.
It is a bled rosé, that it is to say vinified from the first Grenache juice and, depending on the years, a little Syrah, Cinsault or Carignan. It is fermented at cold temperature to preserve all the aromas of fresh fruit, grapefruit, raspberries, pepper, etc.
Tutti Frutti requires as much caring work as any other wine and much attention to keep its lovely colour and primary aromas.
It will superbly go with every summer meal and will nicely accompany food sometimes difficult to match with wine, such as spicy dishes, fruit or ice-cream.
2007 : 70% grenache, 15% cinsault, 15% syrah

La Font
du Griffe is a vast estate located on the little winding road of the Lavagnes, which goes up above the Causse de Montpeyroux. The Grenache and part of the Syrah of
la Jasse Castel
are planted on this locality, they are the highest vineyard of the village. Beyond the vineyards, the fountain (font) is the only water supply point for the inhabitants for miles around, thanks to its ‘griffe’ or spring.
It is the terroir cuvée of
La Jasse Castel.
A blend of mostly Grenache, completed by some Syrah and Carignan, raised only in vats to preserve the fruit, the raw matter. Aromas are concentrated with a lot of red fruit, figs, tobacco, cinnamon and other sweet spices.
Harvesting done by hand, full destemming, punching of the cap, 4-week maceration, 10-months raising in vats, bottling in late August.
50% Grenache, 30% Syrah, 20% Carignan. Will keep for 4 to 5 years
